ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

HOW TO GET HERE

Fly into San Jose Airport (SJO) and take another flight to Cobano Airport (ACO).

If you can take a flight that arrives before 3 PM at Cobano Airport. We will pick you up to make the transition easy and stress-free.

 

You may want to arrive 1 - 2 days before the retreat and acclimate to Costa Ricas temperature.

Sowa Nete's Retreats are located about 20 minutes drive from Cobano Airport.

Here are the scheduled flights from San Jose Airport to Cobano Airport. Changes might apply depending on the season, so please check the Airlines schedule.

6:30 am - 7:10 am (Non stop)

DEPARTURE

We will drop you off at the Airport on the day that the retreat ends.

Please remember that you need to arrive at the airport approximately 2 hours before your departure time for an international flight.​

We highly recommend staying in Costa Rica for a few days after the retreat to allow yourself some additional time for integration. The country has many beautiful beaches and it is worth having some extra time to enjoy these plus decompress without the stress of jumping back into a daily routine.

TRAVEL LOGISTICS

Packing List: What to bring with you for our time together

  • Lightweight clothing for hot and humid climates

  • Comfortable yoga clothes

  • Swimsuit (for women: if you are thinking of going surfing, make sure your bikini fits snuggly!)

  • Flip-flops, sandals. If you plan to go zip-lining or horseback riding, bring enclosed shoes that stay on your feet

  • Sun hat

  • Rain jacket

  • Insect repellent 

  • Waterproof sunscreen

  • Toiletry kit & first aid kit

  • Journal & pencil 

  • Reusable water bottle

  • For ceremonies: light and comfy pants, light jacket 

  • Wallet – card/cash

  • Passport

  • Day backpack. Great for going to the beach.

  • A good book

  • Beach towel

  • If you want to take great pictures, bring your camera!
