Nothing that I say could ever make justice to how wonderful this experience was. I feel beyond privileged to have been part of this beautiful experience. I remember thinking in the ceremony about how much practice, how much work and love has been put in order to give us this experience. These people are experts at what they do and they will give you a memory that you will want to cherish for the rest of your life. On top of that, they managed to make me feel so comfortable, they made me feel like we were family. They were so patient, understanding and loving towards me. I can never say enough good things about this retreat, but words will never make it justice.

Thank you so much Mario and Sowa Nete for an amazing retreat! The plant medicine ceremony felt like several years of therapy packed into an intense few hours. It was healing and cathartic, and I’m so grateful for Mario as our guide through this deep, bonding experience, ensuring we felt safe and prepared. Aside from the ceremony, Sowa Nete showed us the best of Santa Teresa — incredible yoga, sound healing, reiki, adventurous stand up paddle boarding, massages, beach bonfires, fresh fish and fruit, and many mindful meditations. It is clear that Mario deeply loves Santa Teresa, Costa Rica, plant medicine, and people. He is an amazing shaman, and we feel so fortunate to have shared our time with him and Sowa Nete!

Recently, just coming out of an ayahuasca ceremony and experiencing integration, I am in total, deep reflection. It has changed me. It has changed me so much that I can’t put into words. This medicine is the most powerful healing medicine. 
I was called to embark on this journey for a deep transformative healing into my soul. When you follow your intuition, and you put your intentions out there, the right people find their way to you. When I met Mario @sowaneteretreats I knew that he was the right person for providing a safe and comforting experience for me and my son. From the first moment I met him, I knew that I was in protected hands. I learned that some of the benefits of this powerful plant medicine are:Improvements in your mental health including depression, anxiety and grief. Elimination of addictive tendencies. Living a better quality of life. Understanding the deeper meaning of your life. Deep cleansing and purging of your body A deeper connection to nature. Understanding yourself better. Reaching higher states of consciousness. It’s important to understand that everyone will have a different experience. For some it can get very dark like it did for me. For others, it can be euphoric. For me, I released deep traumas from childhood and adulthood. The purging was so uncomfortable at times, I had to deal head on with fear that I never wanted to address. Once I broke through that barrier there was no turning back. It takes a lot of courage to go down this path. I am eternally grateful for my experience. Releasing the darkness will only bring you to the light .

Where do I begin with words? Very grateful for my experience with Mario, Dave and the rest of the team. My experience was absolutely beautiful, I’ve never felt so much at peace in my entire life. For the entire duration of the ceremony, I felt as though I was being showered with love. Just as a balloon is pumped with air, I felt as though I was being pumped with love. Key parts of this were through meditating, the intelligent intuition of Mario, and the power of the music and the meaning behind it. The music and prayer really touched me. I cried when I needed to cry, and laughed when I couldn’t do anything else but that. I felt completely supported, safe, was brought clarity, and most importantly, brought healing in ways that I am still discovering days in the following days. I am super grateful to Mario and Dave for everything they have done for me. I met them as a stranger, and they treated me like family from the moment that I met them. If your gut is giving you slight hints that this is an experience that calls you, I pray that you have an opportunity to go through an experience that I was lucky enough to be a part of.
